Anastasia Sky, Author

Anastasia Sky is the daughter of Russian refugees who fled their homeland in 1920, soon after the Communist takeover, only to face life as “strangers among strangers” in a foreign land. She was born in Serbia, spent her childhood in Paris and her youth in London. She met and married a USAF officer during World War II and emigrated as a G. I. bride to the U.S.A. Her husband’s career necessitated frequent moves, and Anastasia, together with their three children, moved everywhere with him, but still pursuing her own career as teacher, she taught Effective Writing and Russian to Military Personnel, as well as French, History and Geography in High School. She has traveled extensively all over the U.S., Europe and Russia, and admits weaving many of her family’s, her friends’ and her own personal experiences into her novel.
